WorkBeats and Bravos Join Forces for a Groundbreaking Well-being and Employee Engagement Conference and Awards Party

In today’s world, where organizations face increasing challenges like rising absenteeism, high workloads, and low employee engagement, the need for innovative approaches to corporate well-being and engagement has never been greater. Engagement is a “wicked problem”—it drives productivity and customer satisfaction, with well-being as one of its key drivers. Despite various initiatives, engagement levels remain low. To tackle this issue, a community-first approach is essential. That’s why WorkBeats and Bravos, two pioneers in their respective fields, have joined forces to create a unique and impactful event combining well-being and engagement.

Save the Date: June 18, 2025

On June 18, 2025, WorkBeats and Bravos will host a joint conference at the picturesque Nekker Lake in Mechelen. This event promises an inspiring mix of keynotes, workshops, awards, and an after-party, aiming to empower organizations to build healthier, more productive, and engaged workplace cultures.

Leading the initiative is a passionate trio—Isabelle, Inez, and Yves—supported by Honorary Chairwoman Conny Vandendriessche, an engagement jury chaired by Johan Dekens, and a well-being jury led by Lieven Annemans. As in previous years, our NextGen jury will also have a full voice in the selection process.

The event is backed by prominent partners such as JOBAT, AFAS Software, NN Insurance, FEDERGON, FOERT!, Studio of Life, Ordina, Duval Union, and Kanaal Z, bringing together the brightest minds and strongest supporters.

Why This Collaboration Matters

Well-being and engagement are inextricably linked. Well-being is a key driver of engagement, as highlighted in Employee Engagement, What Else?, authored by Inge Van Belle, who is finalizing its sequel. Happy, healthy employees are more likely to be engaged, positively influencing customers and colleagues.

The collaboration between WorkBeats and Bravos is rooted in the belief that well-being and engagement are critical for achieving better business outcomes. By integrating both proven formats into one powerful approach, the goal is to help organizations place employee well-being at the heart of their strategies for long-term success.

This partnership will offer a platform for knowledge-sharing, networking, and fun, showing participants how to strengthen their organizations by investing in employee health and engagement.

Now, more than ever is the time to prioritize employee engagement and well-being.

The Numbers Speak Volumes

  • Long-term sick leave in Belgium: Over 550,000 people are on long-term sick leave.
  • Organizational costs: Each long-term absentee costs a company an average of €40,000 annually.
  • Societal costs: Annually, long-term absenteeism costs society approximately €5 billion in sickness benefits.
  • Employee engagement: Only 23% of employees in Belgium feel actively engaged at work. Companies with high engagement levels experience 21% higher profitability and 41% lower voluntary turnover.

These figures underscore the importance of initiatives like WorkBeats and Bravos in enhancing employee engagement and well-being. By focusing on these aspects, employers can improve not only employee health and satisfaction but also organizational performance.

What to Expect on June 18, 2025

Participants can look forward to a day packed with engaging keynotes, interactive workshops, and panel discussions. The day will conclude with a festive atmosphere and an unforgettable awards party.

Event Highlights:

  • Keynotes and workshops: Insightful sessions led by experts in well-being, engagement, and leadership.
