Hercules Trophy Mechelen 2019: What was all that!? Last June we organised the 20th edition of the Hercules Trophy Mechelen and we had hoped to create one for the record books. And guess what, we did! It was a party to never forget: wonderful weather, crazy atmosphere, smashing performances but above all: amazing Herculeans.
On Friday, June 21st we planned the first Marketing Trophy in partnership with the Belgian Association of Marketing (BAM). This meant that, next to our general Hercules competition, many tough teams filled with marketeers battled for glory in a sun-soaked Nekker. Between all the celebration, all herculeans gave their best shot in this spectacular team effort in which eventually LAGO – Letas Go Bananas came out victorious, well done! Furthermore, we would not be Herculean if we would not end the first day in grand style: the midsummer after work! We trusted living legend Willy Sommers to get the party started and guess what: he’s still got it! He turned the Hercules Village upside down. All that even before the stars of Cookies and Cream showed up… Man, these guys know how to party!
After a wonderful first day of Hercules Trophy Mechelen, we expected an even more crowded Saturday 22nd of June. About 160 teams enjoyed this summer day filled with challenges, team spirit and of course: party. But before we could celebrate, we had to honour our winners of the Festival edition. As always, we congratulated after a wonderful second day of Hercules Trophy competition 14 teams in particular: The Coolest Team, The Smartest Team, the CxO Petanque winners and many more. In the end, The Infidels van Dimension Data would be crowned our Saturday Champions. It wasn’t the first time they did so, congratulations 😉! After that, 2Fabiola was ready to blow the lights during the afterparty, together with all participants. Patje Krimson didn’t disappoint and that’s how we successfully concluded another great Hercules Trophy day. #Thatshowwerole
Sunday, June 23rd, our final day already… But Sunday didn’t necessarily mean rest day! As never before, teams battled in great fashion to be able to take that glorious Hercules Trophy back home (office). The number one spot was reserved for the great formation of RAFC, good job guys!
And next to our well-known Hercules Trophy competition we organised the very first VTM KIDS Trophy. In this way, we allowed kids to experience and enjoy the Hercules Vibe. In the afternoon, we invited Belgian star-DJ Regi to come and join the festivities. Adults and Kids both enjoyed great times in the Hercules Village. It was a pleasure to create this concept, for both parties! Let’s grow
